A take on the New York Sour, the Thin Red Line was my inspiration on a recent trip to New York. Buffalo Trace is a fantastic 8 year aged bourbon which really stands out in the cocktail. The vermouth lightens the drinks up and the port gives the cocktail a nice sweet and sophisticated depth to finish.
- 35 ml Buffalo Trace
- 25 ml Belsazar Rose Vermouth
- 15 ml Maraschino Liqueur
- 25 ml Lemon Juice
- 15.ml Demarera Syrup
- 25 ml Egg Whites
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 dash of Fee Brother Orange Bitters
- Dry shaken and then shaken with ice floated with 3 bar-spoons of port.
Garnished with 2 maraschino cherries
