Belvedere Vodkas are made in Poland at the Polmos Zyrardow distillery (some say the birthplace of all vodka) using Dankowski Gold Rye. The rye is considered high in starch yielding a "velvety soft" flavor to the vodka. The water is used from local water sources in Poland. The name translates as "beautiful to see."
Belvedere releases their vodka seasonally as Belvedere (Red) Vodka and donates 50% of the proceeds to the Join Red movement to fight AIDS. This is available at Christmas time in a specially designed bottle.
