Cocchi Americano 70cl

€32,00

Cocchi Americano Bianco Aperitif is the original product stemming back to the founding of the company in 1891. It begins as a white wine and undergoes a secret "aromitizing" process that infuses a variety of herbs and spices into the wine... they mention gentian, orange zest, and cinchona as examples. They suggest serving over ice with an orange peel garnish and a splash of soda.

Giulio Cocchi Spumanti is named for Giulio Cocchi, a former 19th century chef who fell in love with a bar-owner's daughter and eventually took over both the daughter and the bar (it became Bar Cocchi). He eventually turned to sparkling wine and distilling and began producing in 1891. The Cocchi brand expanded all through the 20th century. The brand was acquired by the Bava Family in 1978 and offers a wide range of wine, spirits and aperitifs.
