DWD is a line of Irish Whiskey named for the distillery founded by John Brannick in 1872 but foundered in political controversy in 1940. The brand was reawakened in October, 2017 by the Dublin Whiskey Distillery Company in Dublin. The Heritage Blend is their first product blended and bottled from sourced whiskey (they have plans to ultimately found their own distillery). It is meant to pay homage to the Brannick legacy. It is said to have been aged between 5 and 10 years (it carries no age statement) in ex-bourbon casks... a classic style of Irish blended whiskey.
