Fifty Pound London Gin
€52,99
The name "Fifty Pounds" comes from the 18th century when an enormous "sin tax" was levied on gin of "fifty pounds" by the crown in order to try and reduce incidence of drunkenness and sickness during the "gin craze" of London. It is said that a recipe survived from that period, which is represented today in Fifty Pounds Gin. The gin is produced by Thames Distillers under contract. As far as we can tell, Fifty Pounds Gin is its own company that owns the label though it is imported into the US by Shaw-Ross Imports.
