Jagermeister liqueur is the famous German herbal liqueur known the world over and popular as in a variety of shooters. The liqueur itself is a style of bitters liqueur known as "Krauter Liqueurs," recognized for its sweet taste and infused with a variety of spices. The name is a German term used to describe foresters and gamekeepers.
In a sterling review and a broadside against all who would deplore it as a mere party shooter, the 2015 Beverage Testing Institute called it "A delicious, dangerous drinkable and balanced herbal liqueur."
Mast-Jagermeister is a company mostly known for the liqueur that bears its name. It was founded by Wilhelm Mast but his son Curt Mast actually developed the recipe for the famous liqueur.
