Liberties Copper Alley 70cl

€60,00

The second release from the First Ireland producer, the whiskey brand is named for a section of Dublin, Ireland known as "The Liberties." Copper Alley itself is a reference to the notorious alley adjacent to the church full of "raucous taverns and bordellos" where lived "the lowest of the low in wild and wanton abandon." The whiskey itself is deemed "double barreled" for its 10yr aging in ex-bourbon barrels with a finish in sherry casks (an aging practice very familiar to scotch whisky drinkers). While not an official age statement, the label does carry a 10 year assertion along with a single malt character. The brand is owned by the French-based Quintessential brands under the company First Ireland Spirits.

First Ireland Spirits Company was founded in 1993 on the basis of Irish creams. It is located in Abbeyleix in Ireland in rural areas where their cream is sourced fresh.
