First released in 2015, the whiskey brand is named for a section of Dublin, Ireland known as "The Liberties." Furthermore, the press release claims there was an oak-carved devil overlooking the city but one night was taken and the wood used for barrels. Hence, the dark magic is now in the whiskey. The whiskey is aged for 3 years in ex-bourbon casks. It's unclear to us where the whiskey is actually produced but we guess it is private labeled. The brand is owned by the French-based Quintessential brands under the company First Ireland Spirits.
First Ireland Spirits Company was founded in 1993 on the basis of Irish creams. It is located in Abbeyleix in Ireland in rural areas where their cream is sourced fresh.
