Musgrave Pink Gin 75cl
€49,99
Musgrave Pink Gin is named for Simone Musgrave, who selected the botanicals for the gin and worked with distillers Roger Jorgensen and Lucy Beard to formulate it. It begis with the same botanicals that are meant to be an homage to the "African spice route" (cardamom, African ginger (white mondel), and grains of paradise among others). It's then given an addition of rose water to give it a distinctive pink color. It is bottled at a slightly higher 86 proof, a bottling strength familiar to single malt scotch enthusiasts.
Hope on Hopkins Distillery was founded on the elusive dream of many white-collar workers toiling in cubicle walls: Lucy Beard and Leigh Lisk "abandoned" London to found the distillery in Cape Town, South Africa for the purpose of making gin. It is based upon the Mediterranean style of gin, which features more floral and citrus notes than the classic London dry styles of heavy juniper flavors.
