Casa 7 Leguas—"House of Seven Leagues"—claims more than 50 years in tequila making. They take their name from Pancho Villa's horse: Seven Leagues (7 Leguas). They also claim to be the only distiller to use mule-driven stone mills to extract agave miel (the juice or "honey" that is fermented and distilled to make tequila).
Siete Leguas reposado is aged for 8 months and they say, "bears the scent of aromatic wood."
Siete Leguas Reposado was named Best Tequila in the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition... a signal honor in a field of 128 tequilas.
The 2012 Wine Enthusiast reviewed called it an "excellent all around" tequila.
Paul Pacult of the Spirit Journal highly recommended
(4-star rating) this tequila saying, "A study in restraint and elegance in the finish. Lots to recommend here, due mostly to its understatement of the facts."
