Whitley Neill is a gin that prides itself with unusual flavors that are "African inspired but in 2018, they launched their Rhubarb and Gin that is redolent of English countryside. The expression, with a flash of ginger to "warm the palate." Botanicals include juniper, orange, lemon, orris, coriander, angelica, rhubarb, ginger, and licorice... this strikes us as a very traditional citrus style London dry gin with the addition of rhubarb and ginger.
Whitley Neill makes and distributes the gin that was "inspired in Africa." It was first founded in 2004 by Johnny Neill to "fulfill a lifelong dream" of making premium gin. The African elements in the gin are what it a new and invigorating product in they eyes of the owner and are at least in part owed to his South African wife. The gin itself is made at the Sovereign Distillery in Liverpool. The brand is owned by Halewood International, also in Liverpool.
