With a custom-designed bottle, an Irish toast embossed on the punt and a specially commissioned illustration on its label, this spirit pays homage to the place where the Muckross Wild Irish Spirits Company Ltd. was established, not only through its unique flavour profile, but also through its tasteful and elegant branding design.
Hapenny Gin - 70cl
€46,27
Ha'Penny Dublin Gin is named for the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin and meant as iconic reference to their Dublin-styled gin. The spirit itself is a blend of 13 botanicals that include geranium, dandelion, lavender, and blackberry that are similarly meant to inspire local, Victorian-era times. This is a floral mix that is more in the modern-style of gin rather than the juniper-forward notes of traditional London dry.
The Pearse Lyons Distillery is located in Dublin and founded by Pearse Lyons.
GLENDALOUGH WINTER GIN 500ML
€34,95GLENDALOUGH WILD BOTANICAL GIN 41% 70CL
€39,00
Glendalough Gin is released in dedicated seasonal batches said to be limited to 3,000 bottles. Each of the 4 seasons is represented owing to the "unpredictable Irish weather resulting in an ever changing array of botanicals, berries and fruit." This suggests to us that the year-to-year releases may differ in flavor (and perhaps even botanicals) even if labeled in the same season, implying a true "vintage" gin. The botanicals themselves are at least partially harvested by foraging in the wild in Wicklow County. The spring edition is made with juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, orange, lemon, liquorice, cinnamon, sorrel, beech leaves,...
Glendalough Summer - 500ml
€33,99
For this gin local botanicals were foraged from the area around Glendalough and were combined with traditional gin aromatics before being distilled together in the company's small copper still. For this batch the following botanicals have been used. Juniper, corriander seeds, lemon peel, angelica root, licorice root, bitter almond, orris root, darred malt, ceylon cinnamon, ginger, all spice, elderflower, lemon balm, pine shoots, blackberry flowers, blackberry leaves, orange flowers, hop flowers, wild rose, wild raspberries, wild raspberry leaves, clover flowers, meadowsweet and fraughan berries.
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin 70cl
€48,95
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin presents in a turquoise blue bottle and promises oriental botanicals including "gunpowder tea." They describe gunpowder tea as a green tea included in a set of botanicals of juniper, orris, caraway, coriander, meadowsweet, cardamon, star anise, lemon, lime, and grapefruit. All of these strike us as traditional botanicals save for the tea and the emphasis on citrus, which reminds of Mediterranean styles of gin. (It might be easy to confuse "gunpowder" as a reference to "navy proof" or "gunpowder proof" usually around 114 proof; this gin is bottled at 86 proof.) The gin is named for the...
Hendricks gin 70cl

Dingle Gin - 70cl

Clemengold Gin 50cl
€16,96
ClemenGold Gin is named for the signature flavor of the South African Mandarin Orange also called a Clemengold. With the orange and the signature juniper, it includes botanicals of orange zest, cinnamon, honey, almond, angelica, orris root, and coriander. This strikes us as a classic dry style of gin with citrus forward notes familiar to enthusiasts of gins from the Mediterranean. Hope on Hopkins Distillery was founded on the elusive dream of many white-collar workers toiling in cubicle walls: Lucy Beard and Leigh Lisk "abandoned" London to found the distillery in Cape Town, South Africa for the purpose of making...
Bombay Sapphire Star -70cl
€53,00
Bombay Sapphire gin is the well-known gin in the blue-tinted bottle. First launched in 1987, it is the product of Madison Avenue design firms and herbal blends from England based upon the London Dry flavor profile. The Star of Bombay expression was released as an extension of the flagship gin, adding botanicals of Bergamot orange and Ambrette seed while increasing the bottling proof to a cocktail-crowd pleasing 95 proof. The bottle announces itself as London dry gin but the botanical set reminds us of a more modern, citrus and floral profile outside of the classic ingredients, so we have dared...
Brooklyn Gin 42% 70cl
€47,95
Brooklyn Gin is an homage to the Brooklyn Distilling Company first founded in 1895 but closed shortly thereafter. It was founded anew by Angel "Joe" Santos, who has partnered with Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery to make the best gin possible. In his own words, "I cut, pulp, and peel all of my citrus fruits. I crack open my juniper berries by hand. After we distill, we fill, cork, and label the bottles by hand. I go door-to-door to local bars and liquor stores to sample my gin and hand deliver every bottle." The gin itself is a traditional London...
Bobby's Dry Gin 70cl
€44,99
Bobby's Gin is named for Jacobus "Bobby" Alfons, grandfather of Sebastiaan van Bokkel who founded the brand. The gin is made blends traditional London dry style botanicals (juniper, fennel, rose hip, coriander) with Indonesian spices (lemongrass, cloves, cubeb pepper, cinnamon). This strikes us a spicier profile against the traditional juniper-forward background. Even the bottle is meant to be a combination of East and West with a genever style bottle designed with Indonesian patterns. The gin is produced out of Herman Jansen in the Netherlands.
Blackwater Wexford strawberry gin - 50cl
€34,00
Blackwater Wexford Strawberry Gin begins life as their No. 5 Gin, which is a traditional London dry style featuring the heavy juniper flavors that are iconic to the Martini enthusiast and gin purists in general. They add a 13th botanical, strawberry, and then macerate (soak) more strawberries in the spirit following. This gives the gin a light, rose color and flavor. We qualify it as a flavored gin for this reason, though the berry could be considered a botanical. Blackwater Distillery was founded in 2015 by Peter Mulryan in the West Waterford area of Ireland, which they regard as premium...
Bloom Rose Gin 70cl
€47,95Blackwater juniper cask gin - 50cl
€18,54
Blackwater Juniper Cask Gin begins life as their No. 5 Gin, which is a traditional London dry style featuring the heavy juniper flavors that are iconic to the Martini enthusiast and gin purists in general. They then had small barrels made from juniper wood—extremely unusual and a world first for all that we know—and age their gin in these special casks. This makes their limited edition aged gin. Blackwater Distillery was founded in 2015 by Peter Mulryan in the West Waterford area of Ireland, which they regard as premium growing grounds for grain and dedicate their spirits to that terroir....
Blackwater No.5 Irish Gin - 50cl
€34,50
Blackwater No. 5 Gin is a traditional London dry style featuring the heavy juniper flavors that are iconic to the Martini enthusiast and gin purists in general. For the No. 5, Blackwater, they reached back to an importing record from 1844 from White's of Warford. After investigating those exact but now "overlooked" spices the "spice islands," they selected two of which now form the basis for their signature flavor (alas, undisclosed and a secret of the recipe). Blackwater Distillery was founded in 2015 by Peter Mulryan in the West Waterford area of Ireland, which they regard as premium growing grounds...
